Resources for information about materials in the library collection.

Library books and magazines are available in several accessible formats. When searching a catalog, you should be aware of the format and the prefix designation for the ordering number of the item:

  • Audio books have the prefix DB or DBC.
  • Braille books have the prefix BR.

The NLS Catalog has all cataloged materials available in the entire NLS collection. This may include formats no longer available, such as TB and RC.

Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) may be searched and titles added to your wish list, or you may contact the library and order books to be sent to your home on cartridge.
